Distinctive characteristics of this form:

The notes under the pictures in the heading read:
- "A century ago aboriginals delivered messages by word of mouth, curved sticks being carried to establish the bona fides of the runner. The speed averaged only a few miles an hour.
- Today the Post-Master General's Department despatches over 13,000,000 telegrams annually, messages traversing up to thousands of miles in a few minutes".

The details about the issue and use of the form are lengthy and were contained in the Post Office Monthly Circular for September 1934.
